Estimate the potential effect of missed HVAC calls
Enter the number of inbound calls received in a typical month and the estimated percentage that go unanswered. Add the share of answered calls that normally become booked jobs, average completed job revenue, gross margin, and the portion of missed callers your process may recover.
Why each assumption matters
A missed call is not automatically a lost job. The caller may leave a message, call back, use another contact method, or decide not to book. The booking and recovery inputs keep those assumptions visible. Results should be treated as a scenario estimate, not measured revenue loss.
Understanding the estimate
The calculator applies the missed-call rate to monthly inbound calls, then applies the booking rate to estimate jobs potentially at risk. Average job revenue converts that job estimate to monthly and annual revenue scenarios. Gross margin estimates the gross profit portion, while recovery rate shows a potential recovered-revenue scenario.
Practical use
Compare a conservative scenario with a higher missed-call scenario, then validate the inputs against call and booking records. The exercise can help an owner decide whether office coverage, response procedures, or follow-up consistency deserves attention.
Limitations
Caller intent, seasonality, job mix, cancellations, and response time all affect real outcomes. Do not present these results as revenue ClimaCall or any other system guarantees to recover.
